Seiko Presents Watch as Part of FC Barcelona Partnership

Seiko watches has been appointed as the official watch sponsor of soccer team, FC Barcelona. Seiko celebrated its partnership with the club by presenting customized chronograph watches to the team’s first squad and manager, Josep Guardiola at the Ciutat Esportiva Joan Gamper in Sant Joan Despi, Barcelona on September 30, 2011.

Seiko’s partnership with FC Barcelona started this spring when it was appointed as the Club’s watch partner for a three year term.  Both the team and the watch manufacturer are age-old front-runners in their industry.  In 1899 when FC Barcelona was founded, Seiko had already produced its first watch. And for over 110 years, “FC Barcelona and Seiko have been dedicated to the same goal, perfection in its chosen art,” said a Seiko spokesperson upon announcing the partnership.
The new FCB watch is one of the 14 models in Seiko watches Sportura collection; a range of watches that includes watches for all sports and uses both quartz and kinetic movements.
